We come from rural communities and a wide range of industries where hard work and hands-on problem-solving are a way of life. Before stepping into the world of CRM consulting and project management, Sarah Mangel built a remarkable career in large animal training—working with apex species like large cats, wolves, and other exotic animals. Her background in animal husbandry and behavioral science has given her a rare ability to read dynamics, anticipate challenges, and lead with calm authority under pressure.

At DSG, Sarah brings that same sharp intuition and operational rigor to managing diverse project teams and complex client engagements. She excels at coordinating cross-functional efforts, aligning people and processes, and keeping initiatives on track—often while juggling fast-moving variables behind the scenes. Her blend of empathy, discipline, and deep systems thinking has made her an invaluable part of our leadership team.

With over two decades of experience as a communications professional, Toby has a knack for making complex changes feel simple—and even inspiring. He’s worked across industries, guiding companies through IPOs, M&A integrations, culture shifts, and even global crises with calm, clarity, and a sense of humor.

Toby’s career has taken him from public utilities to biotech giants to high-growth tech startups, always with the same mission: help people understand what’s happening and why it matters. He’s led communications strategies at companies like Socure, Procore, and Amgen, owning everything from all-hands meetings and C-suite messaging to crisis response plans and internal branding.

What sets him apart? He’s not just about writing memos. He builds communication ecosystems using platforms like HubSpot, SharePoint, Confluence, and Dynamic Signal to ensure readers aren’t just informed, but actually engaged.

Outside of work, Toby’s a maker at heart. You’ll find him woodworking in his garage, composing music, or getting hands-on with projects that feed his creativity. His personal motto? Communicate clearly, lead with empathy, and always make space for a little bit of fun.
